What is uCon
uCon is an interactive website which aim to improve access of information in the arena of sexual and Reproductive health and Rights (SRHR). Most of adolescents don’t get proper information and guidance about their growing up, future planning, rights and sexuality. In working to end youth’s problems, we believe that accessibility of information must be ensure.
uCon focuses on these spoecific 9 segments which are the major issues in our social area. Proper and correct information for each and individual items are needed to improve the life style of young and adloscent people in Bangladesh. The objectives of this web site is to create mass awareness, to answer the questions of young people regarding our mentioned focused areas. According to UNICEF, Bangladesh has the fourth highest prevalence rate of child marriage in the world, and the second highest number of absolute child brides – 4,451,000. 59% of girls in Bangladesh are married before their 18th birthday and 22% are married before the age of 15.
